I received my B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Caltech in 2011. As an undergraduate, I conducted research in Professor Dave Tirrell’s lab in developing a method to synthesize multivalent, antibody-based structures under an Amgen fellowship. I also worked in Professor Dane Wittrup’s lab developing a fibronectin binder against the Fc-gamma region of murine antibodies for protein therapeutics under a Bioengineering REU fellowship. After coming to MIT, I became very interested in catalysis, specifically working on uncovering the relation between the molecular structure of catalysts and their ability to activate certain reactions. Currently I am focusing on designing zeolite catalysts for use in biomass conversion.
